More About Me

After serving in the Marine Corp for one tour, I founded and managed my own real estate office for several years. Having real success and fallen in love with the business, I transitioned to executive management at Coldwell Banker and ran the premier Austin office for 25+ years. I was responsible for over 60 agents, an administration staff, training, and recruiting. During that time, I was licensed and sold homes in Texas, personally bought and sold investment property both out of state and outside the US. Additionally, along with my husband, I designed, staged, and remodeled our residences, residential rental properties, and commercial office properties. These experiences have allowed me to understand firsthand how critically important the need is for constant communication with so many moving parts, whether in the negotiating process or working through the financing and repairs of a property, particularly long distance when you have to be the eyes and ears of your clients. Having managed hundreds of agents over my career, coupled with my personal real estate investment, remodeling, and restoration experience, I have a wide range of real estate expertise to draw on and offer my clients.

How did we get from Texas to Colorado? The planets lined up. With 4 children grown and graduated from their respective universities, 2 married, and off on their life's adventures, my husband and I turned our focus to our own next adventure. We are fitness addicts, avid long distance runners, and really enjoy the outdoors. Being in the mountains has always been a life dream (we owned a second home in the mountains of San Miguel de Allende for 12+ years) and we seized the moment when my husband had the opportunity to open a Colorado advertising and design office.

Now we have escaped the heat and have the privilege of waking up at the foot of Pikes Peak every morning - with all the beauty, wildlife, and adventure that surrounds us here in this wonderful state. In the past few years we have taken advantage of the abundant trailheads and 14ers that beckon us whenever there is a spare moment.

When it comes to real estate, please allow me the privilege to be your guide on your next adventure. Whether moving across town, or across the country, a first time home buyer, a retiree stepping up to a luxury property, or a relocating military family – let me help lead the way through the buying and/or selling process. I will take the time to ensure you understand every step of the transaction and make certain you get the right home and at the right value for you and your family's needs.

A few closing thoughts, and ones that I believe in and live by. It's nice to be nice. And the right thing to do, is the right thing to do.

03/21/2016 Vanessa is one of the most professional and friendly people I have ever worked with. She helped us every step of the way in our home buying process. She always went above and beyond to do whatever was necessary for my husband and I to feel comfortable and informed. Not only was Vanessa always available to help but she was extremely educated in her field. I honestly cannot say enough about her. I would recommend her to anyone purchasing a home. Thank you, Vanessa, you are amazing!!

06/24/2015 Vanessa went beyond my expectations to help me prepare the house for sale and get it sold fast (the first day of listing). Because I was injured and was on crutches, she even helped with some of the packing. She lined up a cleaning crew and helped me consign some furniture for sale. She was there to let workers in and was very quick to respond to text messages. Her work ethic is outstanding and she has become a friend. I am very pleased that I chose her for my sales agent.
